The 10,000....
Tuesday afternoon I awoke with a hollow feeling inside of me....Wedensday morning, the reason was confirmed.
My puppy-dawg, suffering from a spinal disfucntion, passed on to the next life. He was a trusted and loyal friend as well as companion. We spent a lot of time together in our younger years and shared a bond. He was as very much a part of our family, but as very much the out doors type, the neck issues got to the point where he could not go on any longer. He got a great last 24 hours....Monday, enjoying the time in the sun with a couple of rawhides, that evening by the fire with my parents, the next day a fun car ride with lots to see, then a few hours amoung adoring smalls and adults.
Thank you for the love and loyalty. You were a true friend, and companion. I hope and pray you are running free now, happy and in the sun. I'll not forget you...And a piece of my heart shall always be with you.
