I've been dropping by Phil's less lately, only when I need a particular tool. Take for instance one last week, I needed to use a drill press because a mount of mine is too long to allow the adjustable sensor to slide back all the way. Searched for 3 hours for the stock, having a feelin' it was at his house, of course, it was. However I did find some stock that I sliced already in case I needed spares (lol).
spent 30 minutes making measurements and scribing the material, so when I got to his house, All I had to do was set up equipment, clamp plastic pieces to the mitre box that's so handy so I can drill the holes without pieces bending, and use the mitre box for its intended purpose, with a li'l elbow grease, to saw the mount to specific size. Then sanded down any sharp burrs (since it would be near my face). Placed it on project, adjusted it to proper position, then cleaned up shop. 20 minutes for all of the above.
Then, because it was hot, and because he beat me to the punch, Phil asked if I wanted to do a SLurpee run. I said YES! (I had been pondering icecream or gelato or something from places nearby, but slurpee(tm) was among that list ;)
