Totally random aside
Winter is approaching and thus, it's getting cold and wet, and I have to hear this ad nauseum from everyone around me. This weekend was rainy and gray and the end result was a lot of people complaining to this effect.
Here's the way I see it. It rains, this is a fact of life. But, let's say it's cold and rainy on a weekend. Assuming that I have no obligations (which was the case last weekend), I can sleep in, eat a hearty breakfast, curl up in a blanket, get a mug of hot cocoa, some books, my DS, my Planet Earth DVDs and fansubbed Super Sentai episodes and enjoy.
Let's put that same exact weather on a weekday, and I'll have to drag myself out of bed, risk life and limb driving on slippery roads, walk from class to work and so forth in a torrential downpour, and generally be miserable. And all I can think about is being curled up in a blanket, sipping cocoa, and watching breathtaking, life-changing nature documentaries/hilariously camp Japanese kids shows.
You just have to be pragmatic with your weekend weather. And keep a supply of cocoa.
