The debate
Wow, it's been a good long while since I've made my mark online. Rest assured to anyone out there I'm doing fantastic.
Now, the big issue nowadays is the election, and no one who knows me thinks that I'm anything but hardcore Democrat. And for a while, I was glad that my campaign choice of Obama was based on me actually liking the candidate rather than the fact that I viscerally hated the opponent. Sure, I think McCain's policies are bass ackwards, but I actually think Obama is a good choice and would make a fine president. This is in contrast to Kerry, who I felt amazingly lukewarm about but who I voted for because I believed that another four years of Bush would bring about hell on earth (and oh yes I was right).
Then there's Sarah Palin. I could wax poetic about how horrible she is and how everything she represents is at best misguided and at worst pure evil. I could link to Youtube videos detailing her insanely stupid favoring of aerial wolf hunting, and how she's basically Dubya 2, put in Tina Fey's body. But intellectual arguments are for naught because, like Bush, she isn't affected by them and neither are those who support her.
There is however, one ominous omen about her...
She pronounces it "nuke-you-ler".
And that, my friends, is enough to make me go screaming for the hills.
