MBnet and Paypal HAET EACH OTHER D,:
This is the first time Paypal gives me any trouble, and I'm really pissed off, aaaaarrrgghhh!!!
They have limited my account because I added/deleted too many credits cards, why? Let me explain...
Every single Portuguese 'paypaller' uses a Portuguese service called MBnet, which is linked to our bank account. MBnet creates an electronic card with the amount of money we want to spend and doesn't give any information of our account when we pay. It's reliable and safe, I love that service. Of course, we, Portuguese paypallers, use that service together with paypal, when we need to pay something with credit card, we add it to paypal and then we use it.
I always thought paypal accepted and recognized the MBnet service. Heck! I've been using MBnet with paypal for 4 years! Suddenly, they limit my account RIGHT WHEN I NEED TO PAY FOR SOMETHING, saying my account was suspended temporarily because I added and deleted too many credit cards.
I know I can get this things solved faster by phone, but when it's an international number where I need to speak totally in English, I get both shy and concerned about how much money I would spend in such call. But since there's no e-mail address to send information regarding my account status, I had to send them an e-mail from the question form to ask them where could I send that information. Deeeerrrpppp! :B
I received an answer today, it made be grumpy and mad with paypal.
"A recurring change of credit cards as well as the adding and deleting of an
important number of e-cards may compromise the good standing of your PayPal
account.
Therefore, I would ask you to refrain from frequently adding and removing
credit cards and not to use virtual credit cards' numbers but the number of
your real credit card. Please let me remind you that PayPal offers a
complete protection in case of fraudulent use of your PayPal account."
Wait, "not to use virtual credit cards"? So all this time they know there's the usage of MBnet but they don't tell us "Oh plz! Stoooop using MBnet because we dun liek it D:"? WHAT?! Why don't they just tell us that? Put it in the rules "Don't use virtual cards because it might give you trouble", simple as that! If I knew that I would probably use my REAL credit card number sooner. And don't tell me they don't know about MBnet, for God's sake, in every payment code there's 5 little letters between some odd numbers stating "MBNET", in every Portuguese payment.
Why don't they just contact MBnet and make a deal, like paypal being able to recognize MBnet and MBnet would associate with paypal or something like that? I like using MBnet together with paypal! Why? It gives me MAXIMUM PROTECTION!! If someone steals my paypal account, they aren't able to do anything at all, why? BECAUSE MY REAL CREDIT NUMBER CARD DOESN'T SHOW UP!!
I understand that paypal gives me protection in case of robbery, but if there's anything I learned from my country is to protect myself first then accept protection from others. Maybe I'm too used to a country were many people with power are fihjwoe and where services tend to protect themselves and not the consumer, but my mistrust has also helped me avoid troubles...well...until now.
*sigh* Now I just want to get my paypal account again, put my credit cards there and just move on. Ooooohhhh but they won't get away, you see, in my search for a e-mail address I found a form in case I wanted to complain about the European service of Paypal. Saturday, I told my boyfriend by phone about this and told him I didn't have anything to complain about paypal, now I have. C:<
MBnet and paypal are compatible and good for us, users, it gives us protection and helps us keep our funds. I'm not letting my shield be crushed this easily.
EDIT: The situation has been solved and the limitation was lift, but they won't let me add any additional cards, although I need to add my real credit cards now, DERP!!
