I'm back from the golf trip and we had a great time. Thursday we played Blackwolf Run
www.destinationkohler.com/golf/bwr/bwr_index.html, Friday was the Straits at Whistling Straits
www.destinationkohler.com/golf/ws/straits_detail.html, Saturday was the Irish at Whistling Straits
www.destinationkohler.com/golf/ws/irish_detail.html, and Sunday we played Blackwolf Run again. These are some difficult courses and I'm not surprised I put up big numbers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. At least I shot well on Thursday. I wasn't really going there to play amazing golf, but instead to have a good time with my family. Mission Accomplished.
The courses were beautiful but the weather could have been better. On Saturday, the wind must have gotten up to 40 or 45 mph at some points, making the course even harder than it really is. I can now say that I have played on the same course that the PGA tour has had a major event. The Straits course hosted the 2007 PGA Championship and will host next year's as well. They will also have the Ryder Cup there in 2020.
