Several days ago, one of the best inventions known to man came out---behold, the iPhone! It's a combination of iPod, cellphone, and Internet...and some other crap. Now to be honest, I like this product from Apple. However, there are some problems. First, the thing is 500 to 600 bucks; you could buy a laptop or PS3 with that amount of money. Second, you have to sign up with At&t for two years. Third...well, many people can't afford this because they need the money for far more important things; also, they pay bills to other cellphone companies, and the addition of At&t will make things more complicated. However, this won't stop many from buying it. To them, it's like they're getting a chance to live with their favorite celebrity or something...or worse. In this day and age, many people are extremely superficial and materialistic; if something like the iPhone comes out, they have to have it. If you don't have an iPhone, you're not cool. Same thing goes with cars, iPods, houses, etc. Talent isn't that much appreciated these days---look at Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, John Cena, Sanjaya, etc. They get all of the attention that they get and want, despite their lack of talent. I just hate those people and their blind fans. I see them everywhere...from Mainstreet to Westland Mall to almost everywhere. The sad truth is that I used to be one of them, but after entering FIU, I can say that I'm wise beyond my years. I've fallen in love with the future that this university is offering me...one that those idiots will not have if they keep on having their asses where the sun don't shine.
