When: Backdated to after the conclusion of the labirynth thread and Rinzler's escape, and shortly before Roy and the two Rams leave the Grid for awhile.
What: Clu seeks Flynn out for some assistance encrypting a message... and a heart-to-heart.

Flynn was kneeling, watching a small fountain, but he looked up at Clu's voice.

"Of course, you aren't bothering me."

He had... a lot to find his way through. But he also wasn't the only one who did.

He nodded his thanks, settling down next to his User. At first, he attempted to copy Flynn's position, but found that it was awkward and uncomfortable to do so while wearing boots. Thus, he settled for just sitting on the ground with his knees partially drawn up.

"I'm guessing that Ram already told you that he, another version of him, and a version of RoyKlienberg will be leaving the Grid for awhile, to rescue the version of you from Roy's own world, right?", he asked. He couldn't see Flynn not being one of the first to know about such an expedition, but calculated that it was best to confirm it, just in case.

A small smile settled as Clu sat near; it was good, still and always, to have friends near.

And the smile widened fractionally at the question. "Yes," he nodded, "they told me. It's..." His eyes grew distant, and a little sadder, but also softened. "It's a good thing, for so many of them." Not for the ISOs who were already lost in that system - probably - but many all the same.

Clu nodded in agreement, giving a bit of a sad smile himself at Flynn's words. "Yeah," he said. "Part of me'd like to go with them, but I think my resemblance to you would just cause problems, given what they're going there for

Flynn blinked, thoughtfully looking at the program. "Mmm. Maybe after they return, hopefully successful, they can take you out another time? If I have returned, wearing the face shouldn't be as problematic, if you really want to go. Provided that their-me would be up for that, of course."

Then he leaned back, eyes narrowing at Clu, and then he smiled, Small, soft smile, but a real one. "No, it's actually a very good idea..."

Flynn thought for a moment. "Let's see, where we would be in ninety-three..." His eyes grew distant as he tried to sort out the stages his thinking had evolved through, so as not to give something which the other him wouldn't be able to decrypt. Even with Quorra's help.

Then he looked around and nodded towards the nearest public data point. "Got the data packet?"
