Who: Bit and You!
Where: Any street corner in Tron City, then anywhere we end up.
When: Whenever. Bit has a poor concept of time, and now you can too!
What: Bit broke a little bit (it isn't completely compatible with the new system and just needs a little TLC).
Note: Prose / action tags / dirty pictures : they're all good.
Bit had been on the New Grid

What he missed most, though, he realized, was rebooting to the familiar small, warm presence that would inevitably have settled onto him somewhere at some point during his downtime, generally resting on his lap, snuggled against his side, or, if it was feeling particularly affectionate, tucked into the curve of his neck and shoulder. Bit. No matter where it settled for its own rest cycle, it always somehow managed to do so without disturbing him. Even the time it had wriggled itself snugly into the palm of his hand, in the crook of one of his crossed arms; he still didn't know how it had managed that.
He sighed slightly, wondering where Bit was now. Was it alright? Had it found itself a new program after he'd been derezzed? Was it still floating around the Encom system somewhere, futilly searching for him there? Wherever it was, Clu hoped it was safe, at least.
As if in answer to Clu's thoughts, he heard the faint sound of something small dropping to the ground. Looking out onto the broader street from the entrance to the alley through which he'd been walking, he saw the stalled bit rolling out into the road, unnoticed by the few programs passing by.
Behind his facemask, Clu's eyes went wide. Bit! It was Bit! He had no idea how it had gotten here, and frankly he didn't care. Nor did he know how he was so certain that this was his bit, out of all the hundreds, possibly thousands of superfically identical bits that must be floating around the system, but it was as obvious to him as if it had been wearing a big, flashing sign that said "Clu's Bit". All that mattered was that Bit was here... and apprently in danger of being stepped on by unwary programs.
Clu quickly ducked out of the aleyway and onto the street, hurrying out to where Bit lay motionless. Scooping the vaguely spherical little being gently up into his hands, he slipped back into the alleyway with hardly a program the wiser.
Derezzing his facemask, he sat down on a low, decorative ledge, cradling Bit gently in his hands. Not having any other energy on hand, he gave Bit a little charge from his own systems, a carefully calculated dose, delivered slowly in a controlled stream, so as not to shock its systems. "Bit?", he asked gently. "Can you hear me?"

How had ... that... OH USERS IT HAD FOUND CLU!!!!!
Had it derezzed and gone to the place that good bits went to when they'd been good and done good jobs for their super amazing programs?
Who cares. Bit had Clu back! It yessed once to the question, and then darting over, rolled up and down the program's chest affectionately, letting out a steady stream, "Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes."
It had missed its program so much, but it knew, it just knew the guy was alright and looking for it. Nothing was wrong on the Grid right now. If a User decided to delete the entire place today, Bit would be okay with that. Well okay, Bit would think that was the worst possible decision ever, but it wouldn't be so bad because Clu was back. Clu made everything better.

He caught Bit gently with both hand and cupped it against his chest for a long moment in the closest thing to a hug that a program could really safely do with a bit. "I missed you too, Bit," he said, smiling gently down at it. He then released it to let it float back a little, if it wanted. "Have you been looking for me all these cycles?"

It said "Yes," now though, because it had been looking for the program. It had never stopped - not even that time it gotten super drunk and ended up waking up beside some stranger. The only reason it had been in the bar in the first place was because it was trying to find Clu.
Where had he been anyway? Bit had been lonely.

"I was just rerezzed here not too long ago," he explained. "I didn't know if you were brought here too, but I hoped you'd been. I've been keepping an eye out. This is a nice system, but... it just wasn't the same without you around to talk to. Even with so many other programs around... it's kind of lonely here." Especially when most don't like you because you resemble the recently deposed dictator, but that concept might be somewhat over Bit's proverbial head.
He sighed, then shook it off. Things would be better now that his old friend was here with him again. "I'm glad you got away from the recognizers, anyway," he said. "I was worried."

Clu had been derezzed? That... that was the worst thing that could ever happen in the history of every ever!
"No!" That was such an awful thing to hear. Was Clu okay? Oh wow, Bit really hoped Clu was okay. It flitted around the program checking for any structural damages, worriedly.
And then it said "Yes," because it could see the MCP capturing Clu. That would explain the absence. IT was sure its program had put up a good fight though; Clu was the bravest!
"Yesyesyes," it agreed firmly; the MCP was a stupid, glitching pile of badly coded jargon.
"Yesyesyesyes." There was more agreement because everything Clu said was true --- wait. What? Dictator? Deposed? ... Other words? What?
Whoa cares. Clu's back. He was the best. He was so perfect. All the programs should make him president of the Grid, and boss of everything; he was that perfect. Bit thought it was a pretty good idea anyway.
"Yes," it said again. It had been worried too. It flew up to the program's face and rolled against his cheek.

"I'll probably need to upgrade soon to function properly in this system, though," he said as Bit rolled against his cheek. "You too, come to think of it. I bet that's why you froze like you did. Have you been having any other problems like that lately?"

"Yes," Bit said again. It couldn't remember the last time they'd been updated. Then it drooped a little in the air, and its monotonous answer of "Yes," seemed almost sheepish.
Then it popped back up with a "Nonono." How were they going to get their upgrade? Bit hadn't seen any I/O towers since it'd been here. How could they talk to their User? Or did Clu have something up his sleeve?

"For now, let's just say that it involves going somewhere where we'd likely run into the head of system security." That should be easy enough to understand; hacking programs and system security tended to not get along very well, for obvious reasons. "And Flynn's got alot to do just now, anyway, so I don't really want to bother him unless I have to." He immagined it'd be easy enough for Flynn to upgrade him... once he had a disk. But to get a disk, he'd have to go to the arena, and that was a problem.
Clu brightened, though, at the mention of their User. "Guess what, though? Flynn's here! Right here, in the system with us! Isn't that amazing?" Clu grinned. No, there was no way his wonder at the thought of meeting Users face to face would ever quite go away.
[OOC: Sokay, I didn't even notice the typos. X3 Hey, you mind if I play Bit as being with Clu in RPs set after this? You'd still be able to play Bit by itself, of course, but I figure they'd stick together after finding each other again, so... :3]

Oh. "Nonono." Security programs were bad, bad, bad news. Especially here. Bit had scanned some things bro... Things it could never unscan. (Like a program that rhymed with 'Rinzler.) Then, "Yes," because of course Flynn would be busy. Look at the fabulous programs he wrote (Bit was certainly looking at him now) - he was the best at what he did! And Users with this kind of talent must have been in big demand in the User world.
Also. OH WOW! A User? A REAL User? A REAL User HERE? !!!
"YESSSSSYESSSYESYESYESYES." That was the most amazing! Bit bounced in place once and then flew a little ways down the street. It stopped, waited, came back, and then flew back down the street going a little further this time and waited again.
Well? Come on! Where is he?! We gotta go see! Oh Users, their User was here! Can we go please? Can we? Oh please can we go? Please please please!
[OOC|YOU KNOW BIT AND CLU GOTTA STICK TOGETHER. HOW ELSE ARE THEY GONNA STEAL ALL THOSE TAX FILES AND PHONE BILLS?]

Clu then had to chuckle at Bit's enthusiasm. He'd felt the same way, his fist time meeting his User. "Much as I'd love to introduce you to Flynn, I don't know exactly where he is right now. Besides, the way you are now, you'd probably freeze up again from the excitement, if it didn't happen on the way to find him."
Clu stood up, course of action decided. "So, here's what we'll do," He said. "I'll take you back to where I'm staying, get you that patch, so you'll be in top form. And then, we'll go try and find Flynn so I can introduce you. How's that sound?"
[OOC: YES, THEY MUST CONTINUE TO COMMIT ACTS OF QUESTIONABLE LEGALLITY TOGETHER FOR THE GREATER GOOD. IT IS THEIR DESTINY!]

"YESYESYESYESYES." Clu had his own bachelor pad? Radical! Lead the way most awesome of Programs!
["Clu 2.0 you weren't using this datapad were you?" *YOINK* The theme song for these two is now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkjljBNTLs4&feature=related]

And with Clu leading the way, the two of the headed back to Clu's residence.
[OOC: Pffffft... that song. XD Yes, that's definately their 'doing random buddy stuff' theme. XD
Anyway, we can either end it there, if you like, or fast-forward to Clu's place. Up to you. :3]

Detaching itself and hovering comfortably beside Clu, it was damn ready to have some more adventures. Onwards! To Users, and danger, and excitement, and other such important things!
This new Grid probably had all sorts of files that needs to be ... liberated.
[Alternate scene after Clu2 takes Flynn's disk : Bit and Clu1 bust in there, take it, and run off to be big goddamn heroes. It would be a piece of cake too, none of the other simpler programs could tell the difference between the Clus. And thus disaster was averted and Flynn's disc goes above the tank mantle.
How about we end it here, but pick up at Clu's place at another time? Bit's going on a hiatus.]

Then the two continued on, with Bit floating comfortably near his shoulder. Just like it should be.
[OOC: LOL YES. XD Thus the day is saved, thanks to Clu and Bit. X3 Clu'd probly give Flynn his disc back though. X3
And okie-dokie. *ends scene there, ready to pick up later*]
