Disturbing enough, true; still, she didn't want him to lose sight of the joy. Yori smiled, accepting his comforting hand and offering her own. "There are Isos on the Grid again, and Users, and programs derezzed by Clu's army who never expected to be reunited with their friends," she told Tron, "and that's worth almost anything."
Almost; she bitterly debated the wisdom of letting any copy of Clu return. Not a matter she wanted to bring up to this Tron yet. Yori sighed, wishing she could leave other matters similarly unspoken. "But there are nearly a dozen versions of...you in some fashion...already known or rumored, and many of them never knew me on the Grid at all, though I can't imagine what either Flynn or my other selves were thinking." The wry tone made her feel a little more controlled.
She hesitated, and let her arms lift to embrace him, fiercely welcoming. "I am so glad to see you, Tron. The Grid needs all the help it can get now, and knowing any version of you is alive is better than pure energy right from the source. But I'm sorry--I'm not the Yori that you expected, and I've made promises I must keep."
No matter what? She had no doubt of how deeply he had loved the Yori that he remembered, the loyal and joyful Yori of Encom memory. She was less certain how much of that Yori remained in herself. Tron was still recovering; no reason to introduce new pains that had probably never happened in his own past.
