New kid on the block?

Who: Quorra, anyone
Where: Tron city, outskirts... wandering about
What: The Grid is gone doesn't mean what she thinks it means...
Warnings: none?

After everything happened, Quorra and Sam had ended up very busy. He had the company to learn to run, which was a big venture even with the help of people he could trust, and she was busy both helping him and learning about the User world by actually being in it. It took her many days before she registered that Sam could get as engrossed in what he was doing as his father, and that the consequences of exhaustion out there were much graver in the User world.

So she learned to insist on a steadier regime. Regular meals. At least, if barely, sufficient sleep schedule.

And so the weeks rolled into months. Not that she didn't think of the Grid, during that time, not that she and Sam didn't talk about it, but after that last flash of the reintegration, there was nothing to go back to. At least that's what she thought.

Except it was home, or it held home, and in the end, she warned Sam that she was going in - she knew better than to not tell him, all things considered - and typed in the command she'd seen Flynn type absently on his pad many times. The buzz behind her warned her, as the question about the aperture free of obstacles flashed, and she held her breath while confirming.

Bracing herself. Bracing herself to see the world she'd known so long, flattened to dark rocks and dark, probably still-poisonous for her waters.

Except that wasn't what she found.

Sure, there had been damage. The City still showed it. But it had been cycles in here, and far from deserted, the Grid was still alive. And recovering.

Out of hundreds of cycles of caution, she activated her helmet.

And set off to explore.
