mhjozwiak 1. DRINKING BUDDY OF THE YEAR.
Hrmmm...Haven't done a lot of drinking since school got out. But I'm going to say that it was more than likely Leah. After all those long business classes, we needed to get smashed a couple times. :-)
2. LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD - LONGEST FRIEND(s)?
Absolutely Melissa. We've been over it so many times, but I really think a friend is someone who you can pick up with like you'd just seen them yesterday. I don't see the girl very often - not enough, too - but when I do see her, I feel like no time had passed. I can depend on her, no matter what.
3. NEWCOMER AWARD - NEWEST FRIEND
I'm going to say Abie. I didn't get to really know her until the last year or so, but I love her. She's a great girl, despite her need to be the center of attention, and I can see her as a lifelong friend.
3. HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
First instinct was getting married. Second, my job. Third, finally graduating from college... I had a lot of high points this year. 2006 was a great year for me.
4. LOW POINT OF THE YEAR?
Mom going into the hospital three weeks before my wedding day. I was terrified that my mother wouldn't get to see me walk down the aisle. Luckily, she got out of the hospital a week before the wedding and was able to make it for the ceremony, which was all that really mattered to me.
5. BEST HOLIDAY?
My birthday...All the rest of them have been a little eh...
6. ANTHEM FOR 2006?
Oh geez...I dunno...After some perusing of my music collection, I'm going to say "Stickwitu" by Pussycat Dolls.
7. ANY REGRETS?
Nah...I generally don't regret things...You must learn from everything. Even the stupid decisions.
8. BEST NIGHT OUT?
Okay, aside from the wedding night...I'm going to say the last night of our honeymoon. We went down to the bar in the resort and just had a good time hanging out with the folks there. It was a great time.
9. WORST NIGHT OUT?
Hmmm...The bonfire at Abie's...Not that it wasn't a fun night. But I passed out on the bathroom floor, for God's sake.
10. WHO DID YOU SPEND VALENTINES WITH?
Unless it was on a weekend, my sorority sisters.
13. FIRST GIG OF THE YEAR?
PSC Bookstore
14. LAST GIG OF THE YEAR?
Software tester, Grossman & Associates
15. BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR?
I stopped being foolish about my future and did what I knew was right.
16. WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR?
I'd like to get a kitten for my birthday...And I'd like to save some money so that next Christmas, I'm not completely broke.
17. MOST STUPID IDEA WHEN DRUNK?
That it was okay to break up with the man I loved, just so I could get in the pants of a guy that I barely knew...I'm glad that things didn't exactly work out that way...
18. TWAT OF THE YEAR?
I'm sure there's someone...OH! Yes...Chris's so-called best friend Mac. The asshole backed out of being one of his groomsmen and then, while he did show up for the ceremony, missed the reception and has not been heard from since...Twat is a great word for his behavior right now.
19. MOST LOYAL FRIENDS?
Melissa, Terrie, Abie, Chris
20. BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR?
Who knows what's the biggest...? Graduating and leaving a place that I found comfort in? Leaving all of the friends that I'd become so close to in such a short time? Attempting to leave the man I love because I lost control of everything else in my life, causing him to realize that I needed to feel loved and appreciated? Finding a job that I love? Planning a wedding in three months? Almost losing my mother to this horrible disease, again? Getting married? This has been a year of changes, whether I liked it or not.
