House and Watson, Holmes and Wilson...
=> I finally saw Sherlock Holmes this morning - after a few problems with the trains though. And I really really loved it - from the colours and the representation of London in the 19th century to the actors and the dialogues. Really had a good time. And as the title suggest it, I could not help to notice the reciprocal influences between Sherlock Holmes - not only the movie but even from the books by Conan Doyle - and House, M.D.. Of course, the first began by influencing the second - House lives at 221B something, and even the name (funny I only noticed it today), House and Wilson, Holmes and Watson, and their relationship... - but I'd say that now House is beginning to influence Holmes, and I think that the writers have deliberately treated Holmes' character and his relationship to Watson in a way very, very similar to the one House and his relationship to Wilson are treated. Can't say more without spoilers, so I'll just add that yes, I do ship Holmes and Watson as well as I ship House and Wilson (though I now ship House/Cuddy even more).
=> And it is totally unrelated but tomorrow I'm bringing my cat Aramis to the vet so that he'll have a blootest, which if it's good will allow him to travel with me in Ireland in six months. The only problem is I have just realized, while re-reading everything that concerned the journey, that I won't be able to just fly there. Nope, I have to take the ferry, because all the approved routes from France are by ferry. And I have to have a car and a driving license for that. Of course, I already planned to have a car and a driving license by then. But it puts even more pressure over me. As if I needed it.
=> By the way, I'll be passing the driving theory test in April - yup, my father finally managed to convince the people from the driving school that it would be better for everyone. Now let's hope I won't fail. And that I won't fail the driving test either, and that I'll manage to get it early enough, and to get a car in time. ... why do I suddenly feel doomed ?
