Tous deux piqués à modocanis...

[01] - Look up TEN of your favorite movies on IMDB.
[02] - Click the "trivia" link in the sidebar.
[03] - Post a fun and random bit of trivia from each film.
[04] - Tag (five people) Quiconque veut le faire.

1. Rain Man (1988)
During the shooting of the casino scenes, Hoffman would go off and play games like blackjack. After production was halted to look for him, someone was assigned to watch him during takes.

2. The Thin Red Line (1998)
Before pre-production began, director Terrence Malick walked on foot across the entire southwest, stopping periodically to call producers Robert Michael Geisler and Grant Hill to talk about the meaning of the film.

3. We Own the Night (2007)
According to an interview with Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix would get into character by hurling insults at 'Robert Duvall (I)' between takes. This upset Duvall greatly and Wahlberg had to restrain him.

4. As good as it gets (1997)
Uses a recording by Art Garfunkel of "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life," a Monty Python song from Life of Brian (1979). The original lyric, "Life's a piece of shit...” was changed to "Life's a counterfeit."

5. The Last of the Mohicans (1992)
Many long nights were spent filming the siege scenes. Due to the expansive area involved, loudspeakers were installed around the battlefield and fort so directions could be easily given to the hundreds of cast and crew. One night after many long hours, Mann was heard to shout over the speakers, "What's that orange light? Turn out that orange light!" After a pause another voice (an A.D.?) came over the speakers stating, "That's the SUN, Michael."

6. True Romance (1993)
The hat Brad Pitt wears in the kitchen sequence he found abandoned on a street in Venice, Italy. He took it, washed it, and wore it for the film.

7. Notorious (1946)
After filming had ended, Cary Grant kept the famous UNICA key. A few years later he gave the key to his great friend and co-star Ingrid Bergman, saying that the key had given him luck and hoped it would do the same for her. Decades later at a tribute to their director Alfred Hitchcock, Bergman went off-script and presented the key to him, to his surprise and delight.

8. The Sound of Music (1965)
When the film was released in South Korea, it did so much business that some theaters were showing it four and five times a day. One theater owner in Seoul tried to figure out a way to be able to show it even more often, in order to bring in more customers. So he cut out all the musical numbers.

9. Big Fish (2003)
Young Edward Bloom is seen wearing a tie featuring a graphic reminiscent of the spiral hill of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Tim Burton picked it out of the tie selection the costume designer offered him.

10. Ice Age (2002)
The drawings of characters during the end credit roll were all done by the children of the animators. The same is true of the picture that Sid draws of himself on a cave wall.
