Unlike panicking voters elsewhere who can't be bothered with doing it today and who waited in impossible lines for advance voting, I chose to go today

I said it was "panicking voters who can't be bothered with doing it today" and in no way said it was about thos ewho had logical or intellegent reasons for either early or absentee balloting. I am all for that. Remember I was a Poll Manager for 12 years, and I had to vote early to be able to work. I encourage it for people who have legitimate reasons such as long distance or work or illness/handicap. I intended my comments to be aimed purely at those who think that they would be turned down/out by the lines or who felt the rules didn't apply to them. There is a serious problem in this County of disproportional griping and work that is reflected in the way they vote and when they vote. The advance voting lines in many areas were reactionary and unnecessary. We held off until today because logic showed that an increase from 4 locations to 129 would reduce crowds and waits. Simple logic in our area doesn't apply in areas where voters are motivated by panic and not by a motivation of responsibility.
Your vote was absentee. This means you took the time to learn and research what was needed and expected of you and followed through rather than being a drone to someone else's "call to arms".

Be that as it may, that's not exactly the impression your post gives off. Rather it gives off the impression that those who voted early are, possibly, too lazy to wait in line. Nothing is mentioned for the other type of people.

My apologies then for sounding as such in your case. I was just ranting over the people I have been listening to all week over here. I have over a decade of experience as a Poll Official and those people always irritated me and I just went on from there. I didn't think to censor or modify my tones. Sometimes rants just go where they will. I think we are all guilty of that from time to time.
I am pleased you voted and hope your choices won - even if it was the big picture and not here at home ;)

Oh I know what you mean. I am getting really sick of hearing people right about now though. i would just like to request substance when people bitch (not directed at you), 'cause the school yard name calling is getting to me!
