After a month
I am still not quite well again. Koi and I have both been sick with a heavy-duty cold since the very beginning of September, and every time we start to get better, we go back down. It's mostly a sore throat and ridiculous levels of fatigue, and every time one starts to give way, the other ramps back up. It's kind of insane, and very trying.
On the upside, I had a good summer, and though I am back at work, it does not suck. Erin's wedding was a lot more fun than I had thought possible (first one I can remember that ever had dancing and a live band!) and I danced a ridiculous amount with her bridesmaids, who were amazing amounts of fun. Also I got complimented by the videographer, an older fellow who said it was so nice to know that people still existed who really knew how to boogie. (Or something like that - it was so loud I had a hard time hearing him... ^.^;;)
I am thrilled that Obama is doing so well. I just wish the government would stop trying to give rich people and corporations lots of money, because... um... people making 10k a year maybe need it more than, for instance, the CEOs do. Just a thought.
AN ANNOUNCEMENT:
As my koibito and many other friends have done in previous years, I have decided to participate in NaNoWriMo this November. I must be mad, but dammit, the guide-book helped gel the story I've been trying to write in one pathetic teenager-y form or another ever since I was 17. We'll see if it fares any better, but all my fans of past years, be notified: Thieves' Tale may live once more. With a pair of half-siblings where Ronian used to be, and with an unrecognizably changed storyline, character list, working title, and theme... but nevertheless! This is the story as it was meant to be! ...and if there are any protests, post them and I can 'splain.
(btw, my laptop keyboard has become completely fuxxored up, so that it randomly types 'f's in the middle of what I'm trying to say, especially when I hit the Control key or for instance, a comma, so I'm constantly doing a Find command when all I want is to paste an 'l' in a word where it goes, because the 'l' key no longer works at all.ffF)Fffuxxored, FI tell you.
Finally, Quakers are awesome. Good works for peace and equality and living together on this earth. Yosh.
