SooYoung feeds us some scraps

Silis subs little things again! I am back on my train of being a silis fan: snippets of SooYoung's appearance on Oh SangJin's radio show.

Very interesting!

- SooYoung says that the number of regular staff members that accompany them is around 20? And that that was a number that was cut down! Damn. No wonder they need three vans if their staff members are traveling with them.
- The story about filling up two floors of a restaurant for their celebratory dinner after the concert was so cute. Must have been a great atmosphere, like YAY! Par-tay timez!
- Huh, so they did debate whether or not to give every member a solo stage. Very interesting.
- Wow, so SM arranged the "Santa Baby" track for SooYoung's use in the concert from scratch and, hell, it cost so much that they were like, "We'll use it again at MBC Gayo Daejun." So that's why we got "Santa Baby" 9-member version!
- AHAHAHA, shikshin SNSD? SooYoung claims that they not only finished the buffet laid out for them the day of the concert, but that they had to order more food. SooYoung is denying the claims of the "SNSD diet" article. Do we believe her?
- Hee, SooYoung wants to do a duet with TaeYang. :D Syoung is a TaeYang fan. :D :D :D
- The big mirror in the living room comes up again! There is a sofa in their new dorm's living room. They push it aside to practice. (I wonder if that also means that the apartment has hardwood floors again.) But no one wants to push it back into place!
- AHAHAHA. Who isn't wiping down the table after eating? Trivial fights.
- Interesting. SooYoung is part of a Bible reading group filled with actors and actresses?

Clearly this is why we need more radio shows subbed. They always seem more interesting in terms of things we hear; more original tidbits than the stuff they keep repeating in variety and talk shows on television.

(Every time I hear Wonder Girls' "So Hot," all I can think about is Ha JiWon! And then I get to thinking about the strange path of her acting career, how she seems to have worked in reverse in going from playing kind of openly sexual characters [Sex Is Zero] into this progressively more and more angelic, virginal image. And I can't decide if she's doing her acting career wrong or not. I mean, Son YeJin is taking the opposite route, in which she started off all frail, angelic and whatnot and now seems to be taking all these sexually radical roles. And freakin' Jun JiHyun taking on a role with subtext?! But "Hwang JinYi"! The drama spiraled out of control at the end, but what an interesting look at trying to reconcile being a woman and an artist [I don't think it even got reconciled, as the drama kind of forced her hand]. Kind of makes me think of Sor Juana de la Cruz, who took the opposite route, i.e. not prostitution, and chose the Church and celibacy as a place to be able to open her mind re: study and the arts [until something happened D:]. . . . Tangent is tangential.)

ETA: Soompi's interview with Jessica and Tiffany. It amazes me how Jessica manages to say so little. She says stuff, but it's not very substantial, or she's very good at deflecting and letting Tiffany do the talking. I can see how you could get Fany's life story out of her, but Sica . . .

ETA 2: Now people are telling me YuRi has been cast in a sitcom!

ETA 3: Translation of Children of Empire/ZE:A news article now available. Hyo got name-dropped by member Hwang GwangHee. And again at OMNTD.

Aaaaaaaand 100110 SNSD @ Mnet Special Back To The Star for those who want to see a) super young SooYoung and b) Sunny's audition tape. I think people keep forgetting Sunny's audition footage, which is pretty damn fierce. This is the SoonGyu the members talk about being surprised about!
