I totally dug Super Junior and SHINee's joint Michael Jackson stage: "Beat It" and "Bad." The singing maybe not so much, but the look was right. I wish SNSD had come up with something new because you can't use recycled material, really, after your company mates just put up a show like that! AG and I already sighed over the camera!fail during

To be honest, I wasn't really feeling the girls' performances last night from the dance (a tad bit better) to the songs. The dance did lack energy and well it was recycled so not much excitement. The fail camera work didn't make matters any better, but I did enjoy Hyo's solo! So it wasn't anything like Anonymous level, but it was still damn good. The ways Hyo can move her body still amazes me. Oh and I did like the outfits too. The whole white suit and purple? blue? undershirt was nice. Not as sexy as black suits, but still nice. And did the coordis forget to tie Sunny's hair? Haha her hair was so nice (Imo, Sunny definitely had the best hair during Genie promos. Sica and Taeng had nice hair too, but eh they're extensions so Sunny wins lol) it kept distracting me during the dance.

Oh yeah and the Gee + CL perf. Loved the leather pants! I was just so glad they weren't performin Gee in shorts or skirts. Gee just works with the skinny jeans the the leather pants were a nice replacement and still gave somewhat the same effect. I was hoping for a little more variety between the outfits though. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine when groups dress totally identical to each other. They've really been going at it since Genie with the whole uniforms. I miss the GG costumes where each girl had some unique touch to their outfit. KY as well. Heck even ITNW had it. Slight differences, but it was still there. I like detail so when I see groups and their outfits, I always look for the little details that goes with each members' outfits. Like GG, Hyo had the backpack for a while and Yoona had the little side purse. Super Junior Miracle outfits are a good example of the different details and concept I like for each members' outfits. I just totally went on a tangent so yeah back to the perfs lol. Chocolate Love isn't one of my favorite SNSD songs. It would actually rank towards the end of my list. I did enjoy seeing them perform it though, but the mic problems took a lot away. Gee remix was even worse. I was actually hoping we'd get to hear Gee jazz remix again from Chocolate because it was so beautiful, Yoona really nailed it with her vocals for once and Sunny sounded amazing, but I knew they weren't gonna do it. Gee isn't meant to be remixed. You either go with the original Gee and it's upbeat qualities or tune it down to a mellow level with the jazz remix or rnb remix SJ did. The in between they did for GDAs and the one they did at Inkigayo just doesn't work for me. Seeing SJ's perf I had high hopes, but I was disappointed. The girls are capable of delivering a better perf. It's just that I've noticed SM isn't the best at preparing special stages for this type of events. Usually they just remix the songs a bit, do a medley, or have their artists perform past SM artists' songs. They really need to work on their stages and perfs because SM artists (seriously no bias here) deliver some of the best and stable live performances (Shinee esp. Saw them at Hollywood Bowl and they were beasts live) it's just that they aren't always given the best material and concept for their special performances.

Oh and yes, that was definitely Hyoyeon that ran to Soyeon. Jessica also did too. Not surprised at all. The predebut pictures Soyeon circulating around from her SM days are of her with Hyo and her and Sica. It was nice to see them interacting because this is seriously the first time I saw Soyeon interacting with SNSD ever since T-ara debuted. I seriously thought maybe things didn't end on a good note between the two parties because there were no interactions at all. Not even on the Sweet Girl special so yeah it was nice to see. Extremely touching. Soyeon might not be a part of SNSD now, but there's no denying that she does share a bond with the girls.

My preferences are for the black suits, fo' sho. These just didn't seem to fit as well or correctly and not move as well as the black ones did.

LOL, I always found my hair preferences changing on any given day. It seems like a crapshoot as to what you'll get in any performance. I had certain styles I almost always didn't like though and was usually horrified to see members sporting them (say no to crimping, girls!).

The leather pants were so shiny! I couldn't get over it. The tops were different, just cleaving too closely to the same general concept and thus it was hard to tell. If you do look, though, some tops appear more like intimates-as-outerwear than others . . .

Agreed. But I was pleasantly surprised by "Gee" when I finally listened to it. I expected the other remix *shudder* and when this acoustic version(?) came up, I was not horrified. I myself prefer the dancier fan remixes of "Gee" (which actually up-tempo it, if you can believe that), but this wasn't so bad imo. It went for a kind of mellower but still dancey "Gee."

The SNSD performances seemed kind of scrapped together. I didn't watch any of the other stages, so I can't comment, but I think the concert preparations probably cut into anything they planned with SNSD at the GDAs. I was shocked we got completely new outfits that looked like they did.

Sica and Hyo warmly running over to SoYeon was cute. It makes sense to me to see Hyo so friendly with an ex-SM trainee, but it definitely made me smile to see Sica greet her too. I wonder if the others noticed SoYeon there because I'm sure a lot of them knew her for quite some time.
