While watching it raw, I had a feeling that SNSD's appearance on actor Park JungHoon's talk show would be interesting if only I could understand it. Now that it's subbed, I am impressed by the maturity and thoughtfulness of the members' answers. They were not intimidated by the questions and answered as openly as each was able to. (Except for YoonA ( Read more... )

Seeing it raw, I felt uncomfortable by the energy the MC was giving off. Though he did elicit some great answers from the girls, I thought it could have been done in a better way. To me, it felt like he was trying to expose something rotten beneath the surface, like how he kept pressing about the jealousy issue.

SooYoung definitely wins points for that statement. Everyone does, actually, for the thoughtfulness in all their answers. So much fail at not having SeoHyun speak *at all* :(

I couldn't get enough of that Sang Sang video! Oh, so much hilarity~!! SooYoung and Yuri definitely need to be on shows more often together; I mean, stuff like that and stuff like this are complete and utter hilarious!win XDD

Seeing it raw, I felt uncomfortable by the energy the MC was giving off.A lot of people felt the same way, but I think the interview was refreshing in that it wasn't filled with the run-of-the-mill questions that the group usually gets. I think PJH's wanting to push them and, well, antagonize them probably reflects the doubt of casual, non-fan viewers and anti-fans. Seeing the girls handle the questions so well was really impressive. It was interesting to see the differing views about being a true artist vs. a pop artist, too ( ... )

Oh, I thought the interview was very good, definitely; I just have mixed feelings on how it was conducted :P But at the same time, it's *because* it was conducted that way that we were able to see such maturity from them. How I love circles XD

And it definitely was interesting to see that they were split about the "true singer/no popularity" vs "average singer/lots popularity" question. It'll be interesting to see what happens to all of them in the next couple of years.

SeoHyun's really that quiet?? Gosh ^^; Oh, I haven't watched all of the Champagne vids yet - I remember being completely blown away but how beautiful all of them looked, especially YuRi <333

And oh my, preview pics for that book ... oh my ... *swoons*

SeoHyun's really that quiet??Just on camera. According to her fellow members, she's silly off-camera. I don't think it's in her personality to be very assertive, so she kind of suffers in the editing department when they're on shows. You can usually see how silly she is in behind-the-scenes cameras, like when they invade MV shootings. Or, if you have the patience to sit through Tiffany saying, "Listen, ______. My first love story," you can see SeoHyun being silly in the background when they're all in the waiting room. She's mouthing the words at HyoYeon. (As an aside, I love SeoHyo moments ( ... )

It's kind of contradictory, in my opinion, that they don't consider themselves sexy but are dressed like that by their coordinators.

And when do those sexy dances, like the "Circus" one XD I guess that links with how they still consider themselves to be "girls" - it's also a big relief, since like you mentioned, so many young female stars get pushed so fast to be sexy and to wear less clothes -_-; I'm really glad that they're keeping their clothes on and that the clothes they have on are so darn fashionable!!

(That Tiff intro vid is fun XD Too bad Jessica didn't get in on the adlibing too XDD)

Oh, their "sexy" dances. But, admittedly, not all of them are pulling off "sexy" yet when they do those routines.

Jessica did. =D Usually in the encores, sometimes she would throw a shout out to the S♥NES, their fan club.

XD Very true. HyoYeon and YuRi are the ones that always catch my eye. It also helps that they have such good clothes for everything. I haven't yet seen them in anything atrocious...

O_O

You do realize that I'm now going to have to go on a spree finding all of Jessica's adlibs now, right? -_-;

LOL! I recommend you don't--I don't remember Jess doing it very often. (That'd be like trying to find the early "Kissing You" performances where the lollipops would break.) Though it is fun to see all of the random adlibs: Sunny does a dance adlib after she sings her part (sometimes she shook her butt, sometimes she did other things); HyoYeon and YoonA and their high-fives/randomness; SooYoung and YoonA sometimes made faces at each other during HyoYeon's line.

The thing about SNSD performances is that there is so much going on in the backgroound. If you watch any of the free Christmas concert clips, keep an eye on everyone but the person singing. The girls are always making eye contact with each other and making faces and exchanging smiles. Right before they performed their last song at this concert, as they line up, HyoYeon and Sunny were giving each oher "whatcha looking at?" faces again and giving each other mad dog stares ( ... )
