Funny, somewhere in the middle of the story, my mind screamed at me "PRINCESS MONONOKE! *swoons*." Then read your Author Notes.

Best movie out there because you get to see some guy's head get hacked off.

oookay...lol.
After reading your comments I chuckled.
Why?
Because It happens that I really love Ghibli movies, especially Princess Mononoke. So your combination made me really WANT to read more. So if you wrote it to run away from drabbles - you are in bigger trouble now :D

People expecting something from you? Really?
You shouldn't think that way, but if you do - so yes, I expect you leave drabbles and write more 'Mononoke HIME'! :D
sorry - I guess I'm possessed by makimaki now

LOL @ Mononoke HiME--I suppose I could subtitle the story like that, but really there are very little similarities once I think about it, aside from Natsuki being a wolf girl. LOL.

I'll probably very slowly write this story--like when I'm sitting in class, twiddling my thumbs. There's something in here *taps head*, but it hasn't quite taken shape yet.

;_; no drabble...

and yet here i am EXPECTING something from you.

Instead of Princess Mononoke I was actually thinking of perhaps a weirder thing, like...The Village. The kids playing that game. Great, now somehow this knowledge makes me like that work by M Night Shamalayn (yeah I can't spell) even less.

I didn't like the Village either. Actually, the only M Knight movie I've really liked is Sixth Sense. He keeps trying to live up to that movie or surpass it or something and it hasn't worked yet IMO. But, no, nothing weird like the village going on here. Just... wolves.

Hee, I am unfortunate enough to have not seen Princess Mononoke. However, I do like this new approach with Shizuru and her childhood.

Oh, by the way, I've been wondering- have you read Seravy's "The Little Things"? She writes excellent ShizNat and her fic is just a series of vignettes. You might enjoy her. She's on ff.net.

Hee, I am unfortunate enough to have not seen Princess Mononoke.Sadness. Go see it. =D Nausicaa is still my favorite of his, but PM is a fun movie. Shizuru gets to be a normal girl for once. *gasp ( ... )

Hmm, well, most of Seravy's fic takes place during the series and she just started to go beyond with what happened after the Hime Festival. However, there's nothing you can potentially "steal" in her fics... But I really do recommend her fic (which isn't really a fic as there's no real "plot" or overall storyline).

I get what you're saying about fanfiction... I don't really get into the fic unless it's really good. But I'm not forcing you to read Seravy; I do, however, want to force you to write more ShizNat as the lack of it in MO has driven me insane.

Damn Sunrise.

OT, I guess, but I enjoy your writing and I wish you wouldn't feel so discouraged.

And, as random and AU as this is (it reminded me of Mononoke and the Village, for whatever reason), I liked it. Very interesting concept.

I, in turn, enjoy your crack posts. You are funny, woman.

The Village thing hadn't occurred to me, but now that people keep saying it, I can see it. Thankfully, this is not the Village. It'll probably end up being that random fic I update every once a year, so don't expect too much of it. Not that I don't write everything slowly.

I'm glad you enjoy my posts. They tend to be very lengthy, so I assume most people don't bother reading, so it's cool to hear you enjoy them.

Thankfully, the only "Village" vibe between your fic and the Village is the "oh crap there's something unknown out there" vibe, which was pretty much the only strong point of the Village, anyway, so no worries.

Hahaha, it's unfortunate you might not finish it; but cool concept anyway.
