She's a color girl
In a black and white world,
A finger painting
Trapped in pen and ink.
She doesn't fit on the page
Or in the frame,
And it's getting harder
To think.
She's a color girl
In a black and white world.
She can't draw the straight lines,
She's only a child.
No comprehensive forms
Or geometric shapes,
And everybody frowns
On her artistic style.
"Don't take my crayons away...
Don't take my crayons away."
No yellow sun, green grass
Or blue sky.
Color girl, color it goodbye.
