Trival pursuit with a razorblade

Went to a job fair today and found some interesting prospects that I am thinking about following. A big one is a library assistant at the IRCC campus over here, which would be kick ass if I get into the USF long distance Library Information Science program (which I am highly considering as well). Besides looking for a job and living as a student vicariously through Tealia, I have been reading like mad. Unfortunately, I haven't been writing as much as I want to (About a hour a day in a notebook, nothing great has yet to be produced but it is a step in the right direction).

Things I have learned in the past month:

Stoker was an assclown for building up a great villain to be destroyed in one single sentence.

The Night Trilogy = Most depressing shit I have ever read. I would love to stir the emotions of the readers like Wiesel does in these books.

Mailer can be a huge asshole at times, yet he redeems himself through his diction and descriptions.

Kerouac is such a hippy. Rather, beatnik or I like to say, "The hippies before there were hippies."

Michael Cunningham can write some great shit.

O'Brian's The Things They Carried. Another depressing piece of work that made me ill, yet I could not stop reading it.

I have read more books in the past six weeks then I have all year. My goal is to finish the stack of books in the bedroom by August 5th so T can take me out to a lovely dinner.

That's about it. I feel extremely busy at times, and yet, I am not even working. Go figure.
