It Never Ends

After spending over $10K in the last year on home upgrades with a contractor and even painting the interior ourselves (well actually Katie did it), now we need a roof. Got the first estimate today at just a tad over $5K (but any sheathing will be added time and materials). Should get a 2nd estimate tomorrow and I'm hoping it will be better (but ( Read more... )

Does this extra money add to the purchase price of the house or are you going to lose this? Just curious.

In any case if you stay you have a new roof, The deck will be nice to sit on with no boards too.

Hey why not put a pool in while your at it.

Sorry! I like spending money. Especially someone elses.

I hope you at least get it sold soon anyhow.

all good ideas, but Rob, nope it doesn't add to the sales price, just supposedly makes it more saleable, but see Mo's comment above, so that's not even all the time true.

LOL yes, Jamie is very photogenic. I can see how that might happen. Anyway I think we were talking about roof repair and how it doesn't add to the price of the house, and maybe doesn't even help sell it faster as a bonus. I dunno. Prolly wasn't important anyway. Back to the fun! yf, Tom
