I'm all for the banning of emo. Not because it makes some people suicidal but because it makes others homicidal. *laughs hysterically*
Seriously though, I find it really interesting that a culture I've always viewed as being incredibly internalized (e.g. oh-woe-is-ME) is being viewed as externally damaging (i.e. to the rest of society). Power in numbers, I guess. While I approve of any effort to reduce the frequency of suicide I seriously doubt that repression and censorship are the way to go about it.
