Hey hello!

Sorry about spazzing out eight months ago. I managed to finish up last semester with A's and B's and a few good races. In May I went on a three-week roadtrip across the Southwest with Claudia and Yassine. So incredible. We went from Yellowstone to San Diego and back by way of Vegas, the Grand Canyon, and New Mexico. Mt. Zion National Park, in Utah, was my favorite place. I'll eventually post pictures to FB, I promise. I mean, we took about 1,600... :P

I spent the summer in San Antonio with my dad. My plan was to work 60 hours a week and make loads of money, but that didn't work out. *grumble* So now I'm back at school at WCU, hoping I can make it through my last year without failing or completely falling apart (or going broke). Cross country has been pretty rough and I'm taking six classes: five English and one upper-level anthropology. I am slightly freaking out, but seem okay for today. On the plus side, I finally read Jane Eyre, which I really liked. Also The Awakening (Kate Chopin), and I'm working on Huck Finn right now.

Um, what else? My roommate is a sweetheart and I have a nice view out the window of our room. I put posters up on my wall!! It made me inordinately happy. I've never really decorated anywhere else I've lived because I knew we would move again soon and I didn't really see the point. But I've been lugging these posters around for years and figured that THIS year, I would PUT THEM UP or die trying! Haha. So my new friend Thomas helped me arrange them and the result makes me incredibly happy. Also I have added to my plant collection and have apparently started a mini-forest. I have an oak, a maple, and a white pine in flower pots. They are very cute!

Things are good with me and C. We're doing the long-distance thing and it's going well. She finally found a job, yay! I'm going to go see her in December! Yay!

Oh, and my family moved back to San Antonio. So they're there for now. :/

Okay, I'm going to go make this day productive and catch up on my work. Wish me luck!
