So er... yeah, first entry...
Why are first entries so difficult to write? Am I meant to introduce myself? Beg for readers? IDK.
So without further ado, I present my outline/aim/thoughts for this blog.
I am thinking of embarking on a sims 2 story, and yep, you've guessed it, maybe publishing it. Beyond that I want to use this journal to spy on, er I mean read up on all the other sim stories I enjoy etc.
Right now I am in setup mode. I am using meetme2theriver 's Uberhood. I really like Maxis sims, I like the history and the commonality of using the well known characters. Most sims players have a good knowledge of the default playables and townies, and I like the idea that people read these characters with their own opinions of them already. The challenge is whether you can change their minds through your writing, or even if you want to.
I did go through a stage of creating my own hoods with blank templates but it takes so long. I would have a project in mind and then run out of steam by the time the hood was finished. I like the idea of stepping straight into the Uberhood.
My initial idea was the 'done to death' legacy, which I am still keen on, just because I like the idea of a story spanning generations. However I've decided to start off the legacy story with a Bachelor Challenge as I have never done one. My contestants are ready, the house is built (pictures to follow), I just need my Bachelor CASed and my supporting characters.
