Rain like hell today. Torrential. So dark the streetlights came on. There's a photo below, but it fails, utterly, to catch the monsoonal nastiness. Thunder and lightning. Our high today was 66˚F. It is currently 65˚F and sunny.

A spent a chunk of the day signing the signature pages of the second edition of From Weird and Distant Shores, but I did not get very far. I woke to rain after a decent night's sleep, one of those rare nights when I get almost eight hours. It was cloudy. Currently, it's 80˚F, and our high was 84˚F.

I believe that it's become necessary to wake this journal up and press it once more, day to day, into service. Simply put, I cannot recall the flow of days without the aid of some written record, and my attempt at returning to a handwritten journal is proving futile.
