Cold and sunny here in Providence.

Hello, future me. I hope it all got easier. I truly do.

Yesterday, I wrote the second half of the new Chapter 7 for Alabaster: Boxcar Tales (so now the original Chapter 7 becomes the new Chapter 8). Today, I send it off to Dark Horse. And a two-part interlude becomes a three-part interlude. And all I have to ( Read more... )

Yes, Local Hero - my alltime fav!
As you know.
But I have such a list of 'things to see' I will never ever catch up.
And Game of Thrones - glad y'all are catching up on that. Why is Dani your fav?

I still so love 'Blood Oranges' - nearly finished with it.

As you know.

As I do. Also, one of Spooky's!

Why is Dani your fav?

She is the furious, ferocious underdog. A world's forgotten past coming back to bite it on the ass. She's fiery vengeance building from slow burn to inferno. Plus, dragons. And sexy.

I see.
Interesting, my favorite is most often whoever I'm reading/ seeing at the moment. GRRM has created some memorable characters!

What I find most interesting is the characters I react to differently on the show than I did in the books (of which I've only read the first three, back when they came out). Why did I love Jon so much in the books when he bores me so on the show? Conversely, kudos to the woman playing Sansa for bringing that character to life in a way the books never managed, for me. Tywin and Baelish and Shae seem much more present in the show than I remember them in the books; Bran and Hodor and the Mountain much less so. I'm curious how much of that is my own shifting tastes and interests and how much is what these actors are bringing to the characters.
