Sorry, I'm hiding in the not-quite-scalding bedroom, using Zoe the Asus laptop, and I have no idea how to make the little degree symbol on this keyboard. I agree. The only way to view this is how far behind will you be if you ignore the situation and try to tough it out and then suffer heat stroke or worse?

It is terrifying outside. I'm glad you have a car with air conditioning again; and I do envy you the sea.

Best wishes! Our AC last weekend started blowing warm air for no given reason-- not even one the repairman could find. We had a window unit as a backup, but otherwise, the Inferno of Phoenix didn't care.

Does the Avon still have AC? If so, they could show all thirteen hours of Berlin Alexanderplatz and make tons of money.

I remember once, in heat-addled desperation, going to see Wyatt Earp sometime in August. I don't remember much about the movie, but the three hours of AC were awesome.
