Well, I get the Howard Hughes references but I'd have to Google most of the rest! However, I've only been reading your blog for a little while. Oddly, despite being a huge Lovecraft fan and having read all of "Sandman", I just discovered your work in the summer with "Pickman's other model". I finished your novels last week except for "Five of Cups" (do you know any way of getting hold of it?)
