Sunny today. Windy. A high of 61F.
I hardly slept, and I was ill, but I worked. I did the last bit of tweaking on The Ultraviolet Alphabet, did the layout on Sirenia Digest 222 (magic number), and Gordon D. did a quick turnaround for us, so Spooky was able to send the PDF out early in the afternoon. Subscribers ought to have it. And I got in an hour with the Bashi stuff. Not a bad day.
I already said something about Dr. Oz, didn't I? I think...I mean, I ought not be surprised that Donald Trump would entrust Medicare, Medicaid, and "Obamacare" to an utter quack. Canadian researchers
analyzed forty episodes of The Doctor Oz Show and found that nearly 40% of the medical advice presented lacked a scientific basis, while 15% directly contradicted existing medical evidence (link to Time.com).
Honestly, any day now we'll hear that Trump is recruiting from the cast of Spongebob Squarepants.
And speaking of medical expenses, Selwyn's vet visit yesterday, the blood work was a little more than expected, and right now we pretty much don't have pennies to spare. So Spooky asked me to point folks to
Selwyn's GoFundMe page, and thank you.
I am so tired.
The afternoon's movie was Anna Boden and Ryan K. Fleck's Captain Marvel (2019).
Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast (appalled)
3:19 p.m. (There's something very Lynchian about this image.)
