Mostly sunny today and cooler. Our high was 69.9F. Tonight and tomorrow night we will have some actual cold weather, low forties, high thirties.
I'm not ready for this.
I rarely am.
So, the computer that I said, in yesterday's entry, was on it's last legs went belly up late this morning. Right now I'm on Spooky's second laptop, and I will be picking up a new machine tomorrow morning from Best Buys, thanks to my very generous mother. Fortunately, there was a sale. Thanks, Mom.
Fuck. What a day. At least I backup religously.
I've decided we're going to spend a little more time, a few more days, talking through The Night Watchers, and while we do, I'll be writing The Ultraviolet Alphabet for Sirenia Digest. This will be my first alphabet since The Cerulean Alphabet in 2020. After all my ABCs were collected in The Variegated Alphabet by SubPress, I just thought maybe that literary game was behind me. But night before last, unable to sleep, I lay in bed imagining another round, assigning words and images to letters. This morning I only got through A, but tomorrow I'll do B,C, and D, and I should be done with Part One (it will appear over two issues, as usual) by Saturday. So, there's that.
The afternoon's film was Jason Reitman's pitch perfect Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021).
I think I'm gonna read a little before dinner...
