Sleep, the oil of the intellect.

And so today it was marvelously sunny, and our high was 86F. That's a fine day.

And I dozed off about 10 p.m. last night and actually managed to sleep until 5 a.m. The best I've done in ages. I got up and struggled with The Sun Always Shines on TV, that hellish thing that happens to me when I write science fiction, because I want it to at least feel believable. And so everything takes four or fives times as long because I'm constantly finding iunexpected research that has to be done as I go. Later, I switch to MP2, had a brief talk with Mike P., and read another paper of the mosasaur basicranium and intercranial circulation. But I did it all awake, which was rather wonderful. If I can not fall apart over the next three weeks, I'm going to have a good novella and my part of a pretty cool paleo' paper will mostly-ish be written.

Oh, and on the first anniversary of her creation, my 20-something or another GW2 character made the Level 80 cap today. Skye Nicodemo is no longer a lowly Guardian. She is now a full-fledged Dragonhunter.

I set aside all the other books I've been sorta reading at, because they were all nonfiction and depressing as Hell, and I'm reading Larry McMurty's Lonesome Dove for, I think, the fourth time, because it makes me feel sane.

I'm not even get started on how my favorite Alabama-based pickle company, Wickles, actually uses pickles made in India, then eastes exorbitant amounts of oil shipping them. Except to say that ends my love affair with Wickles. Billy Martin tells me that Louisiana has a "Certified Cajun" label to avoid this very thing; a shame Alabama does not have it's own version, "Certified Bama."

Please visit that place where we sale my books and Spooky's dyed shirts. Thank you.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
