A gloomy, overcast day that turned sunny. Our high was 68F.
We spent most of the day at my mom's, finally doing the mountain of laundary to which we have been needing to attend. And I had not seen my mother since July, inexcusable given she lives less than half an hour away. We took her birthday presents, as her birthday is tomorrow, the tenth. Lord, I hope I am right about that. I am terrible at remembering birthdays. I know mine and Kathryn's and my Grandma Ramey's...and that's it. I only know Grandma Ramey's because it was the day after mine, May 27th, so we always had one birthday dinner for the both of us.
From Mom's kictchen, you could hear the spring peepers.
My sister came by, and I cannot even recall the last time I'd seen her. As I said, shameful. She only lives a couple of miles from my mother.
But now we have clean clothes!
Before we visited Leeds, I was up hours before dawn working on Bright Dead Star. Somemhow, I got distracted and only made it through two stories, "The Moment Under the Moment" and "A Buyer's Guide to te Commonplace Bizarre." So, I have a LOT of work to do in the morning. Oh, and at most I slept four hours last night. Again.
And so it goes,
