I think I slept three hours last night. I woke at 2:30 a.m., then got up at 3 a.m. So that one good night's sleep seems to have been a fluke.
Our high today was 53F, after a nightly low of 24F.
I started working at 4 a.m. and did another 1,088 words on "A First Sequence of Scenes." I made two pages of handwritten notes for The Night Watchers. I read two papers relevant to the new mosasaur project. All of that, and then the sun came up (this was before the clouds arrived). I feel ill I'm so tired.
I have the first dental appointment for Monday. Want a horror story? Look inside my mouth. Anyway, Monday morning we see how bad it is and start on the path that will hopefully result in my being able to eat solid food again. It has been a while, and it cost me twenty pounds. Thing is, I not at all afraid of dentists, or the pain, but...okay, I'll explain later.
Oh, I talked with my mom today, but it was about my teeth. I also talked with my agent at Writers House today.
There is really a lot going on right now. If not for all the illness and the sorrow and the idiots and the impending dictatorship, well...it would not be so bad.
Except Lydia's ashes came home yesterday.
Last night we watched a sort of fictionalized documentary (weird term) called BlackBerry, which the networl describes as "The riveting true story of the meteoric rise and catastrophic demise of the world's first smartphone." See, I just thought the BlackBerry was some ugly thing I didn't want any part of, which was put out of its misery by the arrival of the iPhone. No, no, no. It is a tale a crime and depravity. By the way, there's also a three-part miniseries with the same title, same subject; this was not that.
These days, it seems like everything is, sooner or later.
