I think our Indian Summer has ended. It was overcast today and only reached 69F.
I spent the lion's share of the day at the doctor's and the pharmacy. Nothing scary; just maintenance. But Walgreens was a trainwreck, and it took two hours, almost, to fill two prescriptions. I am assuming that was because of the three-day walkout that begins tomorrow.
So..no writing. Just medical stuff. I did have a long phone conversation with Mike Polcyn about upcoming projects.
Last night, Kathryn and I watched Jordan Peele's Nope (2022) for the third time. It is just such a goddamn amazing film. From the fantastic creature design to hearing Michael Wincott chant "Flying Purple People Eater." From the Lynchian surreality to the Fortean skyfalls. And marvelous performances all round, especially Keke Palmer. If you have not seen this film, you have missed one of cinema's greatest contributions to the weird genre.
Oh...and I got my flu shot today, too. It had been long enough since my COVID vaccine, and I just wanted to get it over with. So far,no side effects, other than the fevery injection site.
