Inversion

Cool side or warm today. You can definitely feel a faint, faint hint of autumn in the air. Our high was, briefly, 90F, with a heat index of 91F.

Honstly, I'm so fucking depressed right now I don't know if I can say much of anything. Angry and depressed.

The accelerating downward spiral of civilization.

I was awake by 2:30 a.m. and unable to get back to sleep. I got up about, I don't know for sure, may 4:40, maybe 5 a.m., and I put did the last line editing on "Neither From Nor Towards," then hammered together Sirenia Digest 209. I the finsihed reading The Death of the USS Thresher: The Story Behind History's Deadliest Submarine Disaster and began Andy Hall's Denali's Howl: The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak.

The new issue will go out shortly.

All of that before Kathryn was up (and it's not like she sleeps late). Anyway, that was pretty much it for me.

Please think about visiting the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop and buying something. The taxes are, somehow, going to be murder, even if my income last year was shit.

Maybe by 2025, AI will be doing everything I do, and I can vanish into quiet obscurity. Like the rest of our species, male and female, I will fade into planned obsolescence.

Later,
Aunt Beast
