A Writhing Wormapalooza

Aug 23, 2023 16:47

We have an excessive heat warning today and tomorrow. So far, our high today has been 97F, with a heat index of 106F.

Today, I took care of those corrections to Bradbury Weather for SubPress. I talked with Ellen Datlow. I spoke with both Jun and Mike, and we've found a solution to the thing I mentioned yesterday, the snag. More on that tomorrow. So, I actually had a very busy morning, beginng about 7 a.m.

And I went out in the heat, at least long enough to take today's photo. Which means I have left the apartment every day now for a full seven days, and it's possible that has not happened since...maybe late 2021.

If you have not yet preordered Bradbury Weather, please do.

This afternoon's comfort film was Joss Whedon's Serenity (2005), which I'd not seen in some time.

I have not talked about how I've been fighting "the cough" for the last month or so, my first attack since early 2020 (a record). But I have.

Please visit the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop. Thanks.

Later,
Aunt Beast
