Adrift in an Alien Century

More and more, that's how I feel. This is not my world. There are vestiges, here and there, but the heart of it died a long time ago.

Rainy much of the day, sun this afternoon. Much cooler after the storms. Our high was 81F, with an 84F heat index.

I didn't get to sleep until about 1 a.m, and then I was awake at 4:30 a.m. But I got up. I woke up best I was able. I finsihed "A Buyer's Guide to Commonplace Bizarreness,"and that is really the only thing that matters about today. I did 1,000 words, exactly, for a total of 6,439 over the course of six days. We didn't get anything read on The Night Watchers today, which is frustrating, given how we are almost done with what presently exists of the ms. I read a few paleontology papers, such as "The ontogeny of Pteranodon and other pterosaurs," "New smallest specimen of the pterosaur Pteranodon and ontogenetic niches in pterosaurs," and "The paleobiogeographical effects of the parietal foramen on mosasaurs."

I am exhausted. I am exhausted every night. We try to watch TV and I inevitably fall asleep (only to be unable to sleep later).

Please visit the shop. And buy a thing or two.
