Hot and sunny today. Our high was 91F, with a heat index of 96F.

No writing this morning. I did try.

The day was divided between reading and documentaries. I finished Harlan's Paingod and Other Delusions and began his From the Land of Fear (1967):

* "Bright Eyes"
* "The Discarded"
* "Wanted in Surgery"
* "Deeper Than the Darkness"
---
* "The/One/Word/People"
* "Moth on the Moon"
* "Snake in the Mind"

There were four documetaries, one on the Bell X-1, one on the V-1 bomb, and the first two episodes of a two-part series on the Cold War.

Speaking of such things, two important anniversaries today. First, the launch of Apollo 11 (54 years ago), and secondly, the detonation of Trinity nuclear test (78 years ago).

Please visit the Dreaming Squid Shop. Those Bradbury Weather ARCs won't last forever.

Later,
Aunt Beast
