Howard Hughes and the Catalog of Inconsequential Days (328)

Jun 26, 2023 16:40

Hot today. Our high was 92F, with a heat index of 98F. Unless it gets hotter, which it might yet.

I saw that SubPress is describing Bradbury Weather as my "...largest collection yet at 800 pages." I thought, no, surely 2015's Beneath an Oil-Dark Sea: The Best of Caitlin R. Kiernan (Volume Two) must have been longer. So, I checked. It comes to 631 pp. (signed limited). By comparison, Bradbury Weather clocks in at 794 pp., which is plenty close enough to 800 to round up. So, there you go. And if you have not preordered, stop dawdling.

The afternoon's movie was James Gunn's magnificent Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 (2014).

And if you wanna check out the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop, I would draw you attention, in particular, to a piece of Spooky's tie dye that's one of my favorite things she's done. This one. It has something industrial about it.

Later,
Aunt Beast
