I was going to write a long journal entry today. Had it all planned out and everything. Then Katharine and I stood here and talked for an hour and used up the time. So, something short, instead. I doubt anyone gives much cares anyway. What I was going to say today can wait until tomorrow.
No work today. I did talk with Mike P. again, and with Jun.
After hardly sleeping on Thursday night, I slept 7 hours last night, straight through, and that threw off the whole damn day.
Yesterday was Peter's birthday, and I totally forgot. He'd have been 80.
We had a bad wind come through today (we had an actually advisory), but when that had passed by, it was sunny and warm. Or high was 74˚F.
Last night we saw Luca Guadagnino's Bones and All (2022), a beautiful, beautiful film, definitely one of my picks for the best of 2022. I recommend it to all.

Increasingly, the Right *and* the Left, via social media, have abandoned genuine political criticism for grotesque, childish ad hominem attacks. This is just another way that Twitter, TikTok, etc. have made squalling infants of us all.
