Mostly cloudy today. Our high was 87˚F, with a heat index or 94˚F. So, everyone grab their parkas. Cold snap!
I spent far too much of the day at my doctors' office, when there were many other things I should have been doing. And then there was a bizarre SNAFU with the pharmacy that ate up even more of the day while it was being sorted out so I could get my scripts.
Fun damn day.
Here's the thing: When one enormous weight is taken from your shoulders, I find a floodgate opens, releasing a thousand others. This does not diminish my gratitude, but we must remain sober in all our endeavors.
If you are not a Sirenia Digest subscriber, please consider picking up issues 197 and 198 and (and the forthcoming 199) and
reading the three-part serialization of Living a Boys Adventure Take via individual issues being offered by the Big Cartel shop. This is not only a chance for you to read the novella many, many months before everyone else, it's a financial help for me and Spooky. I honestly thought I'd see a better response. Has binge viewing utterly destroyed people's ability to take their time? And if $10/issue seems expensive, please consider I spent over a month writing the damn story and the price of the digest between November 2005 and right now, the price has remained exactly the same, despite what inflation has done, making a dollar ever more worthless. Thank you.
Also, there will be a BIG sale (ARCs, PC copies,. etc) soon on eBay and/or Big Cartel to help us fend off the IRS for another year.
But please, do not fear Big Cartel.
Later Tater Beans,
