"...and heroes of the world to come."

Mostly sunny today. Not terribly hot, but a very high UV rating. Our high was 92˚F, with a heat index of 97˚F.

Some days are just fucking weird. They're not good. This day most definitely was not good. But they're not really truly bad, either. Today was that sort of day.

I spent part of it trying to find the artist for Living a Boy's Adventure Tale. And Drew and Jim and I got the news that the macrobaenid paper (turtle paper 2) has been accepted for publication by The Anatomical Record, pending the usual revisions that come out of the peer review process.

My head is filled with terrible thoughts, but I think it's better I not let them out.

I heard VNV Nation's Transnational (2013) today for the first time. I sorta drifted away from VNV Nation after the brilliant Of Faith, Power and Glory (2009). I don't even know why. I just drift, sometimes. Anyway, I like a lot of Transnational, especially the tracks "Teleconnect 1" and "Teleconnect 2." Lines like:

Take me back before the years, before the colors start to fade.

Things are very bad here, and I take my solace where I can find it.

I did some work on both MP 1.2 and MP 1.3. The latter is going to come very fast, compared to MP 1.2, especially since a huge chunk of it is already written. But I have to get my Photoshop skills polished enough that I can do the figures for both papers, and that's going to suck.

Anyway, here the Big Cartel shop.

Later Tater Beans (or so they tell me).
