Weary Possum

I might have slept four hours last night. I was not well, and it had me up and down. But at 6 I got up for good and went to work. It was overcast then. Now the sun is out. Our high today was 86˚F, with the heat index at 89˚F.

So, yeah. I'm presently exhausted.

But I did a good deal more work on MP1. Then I talked with Mike P. at 3 p.m., and he spent an hour and a half convincing me that, for various reasons, MP1 and MP2 could be a single paper (let's call it MP1.2). I don't know if he did it on purpose, but it'll save me time with the peer review, and it's just a good idea.

Today I finished reading James Ellroy's The Black Dahlia and began reading his autobiographical My Dark Places.

Last night, unable to sleep, I subjected myself to Roland Emmerich's Moonfall (2022), which turns the trick of being awful and idiotic even by Emmerich's low standards. As I have said before, I don't know why I do this to myself.

It's pretty far from comforting to know that something like half of Americans are only upset about the Jan. 6 US Capitol Insurrection because it failed.

Take note, Spooky's birthday is on the 24th, and she also has an Amazon wishlist. Right here. And there's the Big Cartel shop, right here.
