Sunny again today, and our high was 79˚F. But there's a stormy weekend ahead of us. So, I'm glad I made myself go outside, however briefly, about 4 p.m.

A bad day again, though. There was a ray of light, but all rays of light are thin and fleeting. Much of the day was spent talking through problems with Kathryn, problems I didn't want to be talking about and Kathryn sure as hell didn't want to be listening to me talk about. Publishing woes. Book woes. Paleontology woes, even. I can attract woe to anything. Woe and seemingly insoluble problems.

I have decided to table all problems until at least Monday, since I couldn't my agent on the phone today, anyway.

It can wait.

The trees are so green. Almost summer green. It seems only a week ago they were hardly full spring green.

The afternoon's comfort film was Denis Villeneuve's Arrival (2016), which I really do think is one of the best SF films of the past two decades. I also finished rereading Sagan's Contact (1985) today, and there is a lot of common ground between this film and this movie.

Please have a look at the Big Cartel shop. Thank you.

And thank you, Z.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
