The Balmy Yule

Never before has it been so warm that have I been able to leave windows open all day on Xmas and the day after, except possibly during the three years of my childhood spent in Jacksonville, Florida (1969-1972). As we approach sunset, my window is still open. Our high today was 76˚F, and it is is currently 72˚F.

I was up this morning before the sun, a habit I'm getting into again, and finally I found the title to the story that has gone so long without one. You will find "Pygmalion as a Hammer" in Sirenia Digest 191, which went out this evening with Sirenia Digest 185, which includes "Metamorphosis D (Imago)." I spent about five hours on those two issues today, between line editing and typing in corrections on "Pygmalion as a Hammer" and then laying out both issues, what I used to call "assembly day."

Last night was Gobbler Cobbler, followed by an Xmas double feature, The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946).

This afternoon I watched the second half of the Korean War documentary and then started another about Huey P. Long.

That was today.
