Not a very productive day. Not a terrible day, I just didn't really accomplish anything. I have to do much better tomorrow. Our high was 90˚F, and right now it's about 80˚F.
I hardly slept last night.
I did listen to more of The Dinosaur Tourist - "Untitled Psychiatrist No. 2," "Excerpts from An Eschatology Quadrille," and "Ballad of a Catamite Revolver." Kevin Kenerly gives an absolutely delightful reading of "Ballad of a Catamite Revolver." I watch two documentaries, one concerning the death of an climber on Mt. Everest and another on fools who kayak over waterfalls. I finished reading Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger's Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 and started A. J. Baime's Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans. I found two long papers on inter- and intraspecific variation in lizard skulls that I need to get read ASAP, "Variation in the skulls of Elgaria and Gerrhonotus (Anguidae, Gerrhonotinae) and implications for phylogenetics and fossil identification" and "The relationship between cranial structure, biomechanical performance and ecological diversity in varanoid lizards."
Kathryn made spaghetti and we watched the two most recent episodes of the current season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. I was very sorry to see Scarlet Envy go home.
Yeah, that was yesterday.
I have to force myself to leave the apartment tomorrow, or it will have been twenty-five consecutive days without stepping Outside.
Later,
Aunt Beast
