Entry No. 5,567

Dec 26, 2018 11:24

A fine sunny morning, and it's currently 51˚F. The projected high is 61˚F. But there are days and days of rain on the way.

We didn't make it out to my mom's yesterday, and that was a big disappointment. The day was difficult, but we managed to make a halfway decent Christmas from it. We've had much worse. Christmas Eve we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bad[der] Santa, and last night we watched A Charlie Brown Christmas and The Royal Tenenbaums, as has become mine and Spooky's Christmas tradition.

Today, I need to find a story for Sirenia Digest No. 155. I've written almost nothing at all during the past three months, one of the least productive periods I've had. I have got to turn that around. It doesn't matter why it's happening; it just has to stop. I've got to get back in the habit. There's too much to be done.

For Christmas, Spooky gave me two books, Mark P. Witton's The Palaeoartist's Handbook and Ray Troll and Kirk Johnson's Crusin' the Fossil Coastline.

Yesterday, I began reading Philip Pullman's The Subtle Knife.

Later,
