Howard Hughes vs. the "Breezy Day"

Mar 02, 2017 10:58

It's cold here and mostly sunny. The NWS says it's "breezy," which is apparently how they describe winds of 16-21 mph, gusting to 50 mph. The winds sets on edge every nerve I possess. It makes me grind my teeth. Currently, it's 52˚F, but the windchill is 45˚F. We have some seriously cold air on the way. The forecast low for Saturday night is 8˚F, before the windchill.

This from Wikipedia: "Homesickness is the distress or impairment caused by an actual or anticipated separation from home. Its cognitive hallmark is preoccupying thoughts of home and attachment objects. Sufferers typically report a combination of depressive and anxious symptoms, withdrawn behavior and difficulty focusing on topics unrelated to home. Intense homesickness can be painful and debilitating."

Yesterday, I wrote 1,241 words on "Untitled Psychiatrist #2." I hope to finish it today and tomorrow, and, with luck, Sirenia Digest #133 will go out to subscribers on Saturday.

Please have a look at the current eBay auctions.

Today's photo comes courtesy Spooky. I couldn't have taken it, given I've not left the house since we got home Saturday night. I may not leave it again until May or June.

Resistance, Peace, and Compassion,
Aunt Beast
